Punta Cana

For nearly ten years, I've documented our travels to National Park Service Units throughout the United States. I've decided to expand the blog, and also include our international travels.

In November 2024, Tara and I traveled to the Dominican Republic for a week. We spent most of our time at an all-inclusive resort in the beach town of Punta Cana. Punta Cana (pop. 138,919) is a popular tourist destination, with gorgeous white-sand beaches on both the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea. Punta Cana is in the La Altagarcia Province, in the easternmost region of the country.

We stayed at the Occidental Caribe resort. We had a great time, we took in a few shows, ate at the fancy restaurants, and mostly just hung out and relaxed on the beach. I love swimming in the ocean waves.

We took an ATV tour out in the countryside and went for a swim in a jungle river. This was a blast.
